Results for a Change™ provides consulting, facilitation, and coaching to help your organization channel its latent capacity to achieve its strategic priorities. Extreme LD™, our flagship process, is a perfect example; it adds an action component to your leadership development curriculum, challenging participants to achieve critical business objectives in a fixed period of time (usually around 100 days).
Extreme LD™
It’s not your father’s leadership development program. In Extreme LD™, your own future leaders work in teams to understand a business challenge presented by an executive champion and develop a plan to achieve the goal. And that’s just the launch workshop! The teams then compete with each other to execute their plans and achieve their goals within the allotted timeframe.
Results-orientation. In Extreme LD™, all project goals are expressed in terms of bottom-line business results. Dollars – or the currency of your choice. And the teams have to achieve those results within the allotted timeframe. No recommend-and-run here, in order to succeed these teams need to implement their solution and achieve their assigned revenue gain or cost saving. A finance specialist will certify – or deny – that the team impacted the bottom line.
Teamwork. Participants work on teams over the course of ~100 days to achieve the goals assigned by their sponsors. To succeed, the teams need to perform at a high level, moving quickly to a level of candor and collaboration generally only achieved under extreme circumstances.
Development. As individuals, Extreme LD™ participants receive feedback, identify development objectives, and adopt a role or task on the team that places them in a stretch situation. And that’s just the launch workshop! Over the course of the remainder of the project, participants attempt to fulfill their stretch roles, using whatever resources they can find for support. And at the same time they are learning from coaching received from teammates, they are also providing someone with coaching in an area of their own expertise.
Strategy-focused. Your Extreme LD™ teams can tackle whatever problems or business opportunities might be available – or the program can be directed at one of your critical strategic objectives.
